Making some extra money while in college can seem like a daunting task. Have no fear! With just a few minutes, you can be earning money between classes. These are NOT get rich quick schemes, but with just a minimal amount of effort, it's possible to pay for your books, entertain yourself, or get a head start on your student loans.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet
  • A few hours a week
  1. Step 1

Find a reputable "paid surveys" site. They may sound like scams, but if you find the right ones, you can start earning immediately. Example - http://cashcrate.com/723238

Not only do you get paid for your surveys, but you can refer people and earn a portion of what they do!

  2. Step 2

Got a website? Become an affiliate of another website. It's probably the easiest way to make money on something you already do. Google AdSense and Amazon affiliate program are the most popular and both extremely easy to use.

  3. Step 3

Enjoy writing about something? Anything? Start a blog. Combine this with step 2 and double your earning potential.

  4. Step 4

Is your school big on one or more sports? Sell bottled water to those waiting in line for tickets. A 24 pack of water can generally be bought for just over $5, sell each bottle for $1 and I'm sure you can see the profit. An alternative for this, depending on where your school is located, is hot chocolate. This requires a bit more effort, but if it's cold, people will pay.

  5. Step 5

Always get good grades? Perhaps your friends would like to share in the A's. You can always find people willing to pay for a good report or homework assignment.

  6. Step 6

Odd jobs. It may sound obvious, but if you look for smaller jobs, it's sometimes easier to do what interests you. Be a bouncer at a bar, walk neighborhood dogs, shovel snow (cleaning off students' cars after a blizzard is always a surefire money maker). The possibilities are endless.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be somewhat patient, some of these ideas take time to actually start making money, but you'll get there
  • Network/brainstorm with others in your situation. Sometimes this can lead to your own small business
  • Be wary of anyone asking for money. The only above steps that require any monetary investment is selling water. Other than that, be prepared to offer only your time
