Use banana leaves as your plates

In my time, I used banana leaves most of the times as my plates, food wrapper, umbrella, and for other uses like cooking. It is easy for me to just grab leaves and wrap my food for school. And also if I cook my fish, I can wrap the whole fish with banana leaf with onions or spices and then put it on top of the fire. So if you happened to be in an area where bananas are everywhere, you might try how you can use the leaves as substitute for a plate or dishes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take banana leaves and gently put it on top of a flames or burning wood. Hold the whole leaf and pass it on top of the fire to make it soft. Do not put it on fire longer because it will burn. Do it just like when you are freezing from the snow or cold and you want your fingers or hands to be warm. You do not need to burn your finger for sure, you just have to feel the heat and that's how you do this thing.

  2. Step 2

When the leaf is soft, you can take the middle part or you can just pressed it to flatten the center part of the leaf. Now it is easy to wrap your food or make a bowl shape because the leaf won't easily rip. If you are using it for your drinks then form a shape like a elf' s hat.

  3. Step 3

Just be creative to come up with any style for your needs. If it will rain while you are in the woods then you can also use banana leaf as your umbrella but this time you do not need to burn it, just use the fresh one.

  4. Step 4

Banana leaves are not just for food wrapping or plates but also for your bed. It feels cool if you use the green one not the brown one because it is already old and the leaves just makes noise when you move.

  5. Step 5

There are many uses for banana leaves, it's up to you how you like to use it in your own needs.
