How to Make Nutritious Corn Bread!

This corn bread with wheat germ, three eggs and milk, is a delicious variety of an old stand-by.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  1. Step 1

    Heat oven to 400 degrees. Butter a loaf pan.
    Mix together, well, the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, wheat germ and corn meal.
    Beat the eggs and add to them the milk and melted butter.

  2. Step 2

    Add the dry mixture, all at once, to the wet mixture and stir together just sufficiently to moisten.

  3. Step 3

    Pour batter into the buttered pan and bake for approximately 40 minutes.
    Place pan on rack to cool. Enjoy!
