Things You'll Need:
- eBay Account
- Stumble Upon Account
- Internet Connection
- Time
-
Step 1
Go to StumbleUpon.com, register for an account, and download the toolbar. It is free.
-
Step 2
All of your internet windows will close and then you will get an internet window with the toolbar at the top. You will see the SU icon, and a blue thumbs up, and a blue thumbs down.
-
Step 3
Visit a random website and let's stumble it.
-
Step 4
If a site has not been stumbled by another user, a box will pop up with the the website link in it and you will enter some details about the site, along with a short review.
-
Step 5
After you enter everything, hit "SUBMIT THIS SITE." You will get another box that says "RATING SUBMITTED." That is the important part - make sure you get the confirmation box.
-
Step 6
If the site has previously been stumbled by another user, the thumbs up icon will just turn green when you click it. Information about the site only has to be entered by the first stumbler.
-
Step 7
Once you have the toolbar installed, do a few practice stumbles. Visit some websites you like and stumble them to get a feel for how the application works.
-
Step 8
Stumble Upon is most effective when other users stumble each other's pages, rather than just their own. Join some "Stumble Trading" groups. You can find these on Stumble Upon Communities, Facebook, Twitter, discussion groups, and forums.
-
Step 9
Now, integrate the application with your eBay pages. Stumble, or have someone else stumble, your About Me page, store home page, store inventory listings, feedback page, etc. If you stumble your actual listings, make sure they are placed in the proper category.
-
Step 10
Submit new items to SU on a regular basis. Stumble Upon works over time so results may come slowly, but they will come. Check your store traffic reports to verify that SU is sending you traffic.
