Step 1
Consider to work at home if possible or move closer to your work place.
I know people that commute more than 1 hour to go to work! That's more than 2 hour round trip. -
Step 2
Consider to take public transportation (metro, bus) if possible and if it is not too much hassle.
-
Step 3
Plan your trip when you need to run an errand! Navigation or map will be very usefull if you need to stop by at many places in one day to run an errand! so you can plan the shortest trip to all af those places and go back home.
-
Step 4
Try to pump the gas when the weather is not too hot. Hot weather cause some of those gas evaporate.
-
Step 5
Avoid to idle around or rev up your engine too much.
-
Step 6
Try to pump the gas at full tank capacity instead of just half tank. Less stop at gas station.

on 9/3/2009 Check out this site I found that gives you free visa cards for buying gas as you normally do. I have been doing it for 5 months now and have received $125 in visa cards that I can use any where. www.getfreevisacards.com
