If you are sick, medicine can make you feel so much better. But as well as it can make you, taking it incorrectly can have the opposite effects. Here are some tips to help take medicine correctly.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Listen to the doctor.
They have been to medical school and know a lot more on the use of medicines. That is why they are allowed to prescribe it. Be sure to follow their instructions for the best results.

  2. Step 2

    No alcohol.
Drinking with medications can have horrible effects. Be sure to not take your medication and mix it with alcohol. If you do plan on drinking while taking medicine, tell your doctor, and maybe you will be able to get a shot instead.

  3. Step 3

    Maybe eat, maybe not.
Some medicines should be taken with food, while others work best on an empty stomach. Be sure to ask your doctor or read the label on the medicine, which would be the best to do.

  4. Step 4

Never take over the recommended dose.
Unless your doctor has advised you, never take over the recommended dose. Some medicines can have very serious effects if too much has been taken in and can cause much damage. So be careful to not overdo it.

  5. Step 5

Check the resources below if you like more information.
