Step 1
Cut raw beef into thin strips, about an eighth of an inch in thickness.

Marinate your beef strips in a flavoring of your choice. Teriyaki, bbq, and garlic and spices are good choices, but you can make your jerky any flavor you want.

Lay your flavored beef srips out on a cookie sheet, and dry in the oven on the coolest temperature you can manage. You might want to leave the oven door open a bit for air circulation.

Step 4
Beef jerky is done when it is dry and chewy, and a little bit flexible. Drying time varys from 6 to 24 hours, depending on your temperature and humidity.
