Make a Flavored Creamers Gift Basket

This gift basket is great for bosses, friends, family, neighbors, or any coffee lover.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Creamer:
  • 8 Tbsp granulated sugar, divided
  • 2 vanilla beans
  • 1 pkg dry milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • decorative jar
  • ribbon
  • Creamer:
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 4 Tbsp orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 2 tsp orange extract
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • decorative bottle
  • ribbon
  • heavy paper
  • Basket:
  • wire basket
  • excelsior (grass bed)
  • mug
  • milk pitcher
  • decorative spoon
  • cinnamon sticks
  • ribbon
  1. Step 1

To make the powdered creamer, place 2 Tbsp sugar and the vanilla beans in a coffee grinder or food processor. Process to a fine powder.

  2. Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine the remaining sugar and dry milk. Add ground nutmeg and vanilla-sugar mixture; stir to combine.

  3. Step 3

Transfer the powdered creamer to a jar and tie a ribbon around the lid.

  4. Step 4

To make the liquid creamer, in a medium bowl, combine half-and-half and orange juice concentrate. Add the orange extract and vanilla extract and mix well.

  5. Step 5

Pour the creamer into a decorative bottle and seal. Cut a round piece of heavy paper slightly larger than the top of the bottle. Place on top of the bottle and tie a ribbon around the paper to hold it in place. Store it in the refrigerator.

  6. Step 6

To arrange the basket, put everything together without the liquid creamer; only add in the chilled creamer when you are ready to deliver the gift. If desired, wrap the gift with cellophane and tie it with a pretty ribbon.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add other things to the basket such as flavored coffees, teas, muffins, or hot cocoa.
  • Along with a nice fragrance, cinnamon sticks make great stirrers for any hot drink.
  • Fill small decorative pitchers with each of the creamers and tie them together with a festive bow as an alternative to a basket.
  • Keep the liquid creamers tightly covered and store them in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Dry creamers, placed in airtight containers, can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
