Nasal drops made with essential oils are a natural alternative to commercial nasal sprays. Essential oil nasal drops can be made with one or a combination of more than one essential oil. Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Fill a glass amber dropper bottle with distilled water. The amber color of the bottle is important, because some essential oils degrade in quality when exposed to light. The amber color of the glass protects the essential oils from exposure to light. These bottles can be purchased at stores that sell essential oils or online.

  2. Step 2

    Add ten drops of one or a combination of more than one essential oil. The following essential oils are good for clearing nasal passages: grapefruit seed extract, lemon, eucalyptus, pine and lavender.

  3. Step 3

    Shake nasal drops before use. Drop three drops into each nostril.

  • If the essential oil nasal drops sting, dilute with more distilled water.
