      Go to the Nebraska Workforce Development website and click “File a Claim” (see Resources).

      Go to "New Customer Registration" and provide your personal information and create a personal identification number (PIN). Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.

      Answer the required questions to complete the application form.

      Print any numbers or information you might need for future reference.

  • Call the office in Lincoln at 402-458-2500 or in Omaha at 402-829-2800 or toll-free at 877-725-9918 to file by telephone or ask questions about your claim.

  • Wait at least two weeks before contacting anyone if you do not receive your unemployment check.

  • The first week you are eligible for benefits is an unpaid waiting week.
