How to Tell a Boy You Like Him

Telling a boy you like him is one of the scariest things any girl can face. There's always the chance that he might feel uncomfortable or may not return the feeling. The best thing to do is to bite the bullet and just tell him. You can do that in a completely outrageous fashion, take a more subtle approach or even ask one of your friends to do it for you.

Instructions

1. Take the slow approach. If you're worried about blurting out the truth, take things slowly in the beginning. Take the time to get to know him. Find out his interests to make sure you're really interested in him. This also gives him time to get to know you as well.

2. Drop subtle hints during conversations to show him that you're feeling something a little more than friendship. Mention a movie or concert you want to see and ask him if he'd be interested in going too. If he seems a little leery, plan a trip for all of your friends and include him.

3. Do something grand and completely out of character. Have a pizza or big cookie delivered to him with a note on the front. Or make him a T-shirt with your name on the front. Even if he doesn't feel the same way, you'll both have a story you can tell for years to come.

4. Have a friend do it for you. This step is best if you really can't stand the thought of telling him how you feel. You can ask a mutual friend to do it for you or ask him or her to drop a few hints to see if he might feels the same way as you do.

5. Get him alone and tell him how you're feeling. The last thing you want is to tell him how you feel and have his friends in the background. Instead wait until after class or practice when he has a few minutes to talk to you about the situation.

Tips & Warnings

• Do it as soon as possible instead of agonizing over your feelings for weeks or even months. The worst thing that can happen is that he doesn't feel the same way.

• Prepare yourself for the possibility that the guy may not feel the same way you do.
