Things You'll Need:

  • Cleaning detergent and water
  • Concrete fungus roof treatment (optional)
  • Rubber roof tape
  • Concrete roof patch cement
  • Roof primer
  • Rubber roof treatment
  • Paint brush rollers
  1. Step 1

    Inspect the concrete cement roof to identify problems such as cracking or fungus growth.

  2. Step 2

    Clean concrete cement roof with a cleaning detergent and water, or a concrete fungus cement roof treatment, such as 5L Concrete Roof Treatment, if fungus is present. Let roof dry before applying roof treatment.

  3. Step 3

    Patch any roof cracks with rubber tape. Look for a brand that is designed for concrete cement or concrete roof patch cement. Let patch cement dry before applying roof treatment.

  4. Step 4

    Paint the roof with a roof primer such as Ames Super Primer Let primer dry before applying roof treatment.

  5. Step 5

    Paint the roof with a rubber roof coating treatment, such as Ames Maximum-Stretch.
