Make a Beard Grow Faster

Many men wish their beards would grow faster. Some men just have hair that grows faster, even beards. It's simply a fact of life. But there are ways in which any man can speed up the growth of hair on his face and take a shortcut to that bearded look.

From Quick Guide: Choosing a Beard Style
Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eucalyptus oil
  • Biotin supplements
  • Shampoo
  • Hair conditioner
  • Healthy foods (green vegetables and foods high in protein)
  1. Step 1

Apply eucalyptus oil to your beard growth. The eucalyptus oil may stimulate the epidermal layer of the skin to speed up the hair-growing process. (This will produce a tingling sensation.)

  2. Step 2

Purchase and consume a daily supplement of biotin. Biotin is a dietary supplement that can help promote hair growth (as well as nail growth). The recommended dosage is 2.5 mg a day.

  3. Step 3

Shampoo and condition your growing beard. This will help keep it clean and shiny-looking. Plus, the conditioning process should encourage growth by preventing the hair from becoming too dry.

  4. Step 4

Eat healthy. If your body is getting the nutrients it needs, it will function better. This means every process will work better, including that of growing facial hair. Make sure you eat plenty of green vegetables and get enough protein.

  5. Step 5

Drink plenty of water. Water helps every system in the body work better. It will also keep hair healthy and moisturized, including hair on the face.

Tips & Warnings
  • Even though you've stopped shaving, you still should trim your beard, usually within a month of growing it out. Trimming will make the ends of your beard shorter but also more uniform.
  • If you find your beard itchy, you can apply a hydrocortisone cream to the area.
  • If you develop a scaly rash, you may want to wash your beard with a dandruff shampoo.
  • Do not apply a hair-growing product like Rogaine (minoxidil) to your beard. It could cause a skin reaction and is harmful if accidentally ingested. (It's known to lower blood pressure.)
  • If you are prone to acne, a beard may make your condition worse.

on 6/22/2009 There are other ways instead of eating leafy green vegetables to make your beard grow faster. Eat a consumption(as in a lot)of fruits. As in Bananas(a faster way into increasing testosterone levels. For a boost, don't eat anything unhealthy such as junk-food, fried-foods, and resist the urge into eating in your local fast-food/fried-food restaurants(as in McDonald and ETC.)
