The skin loses a lot of moisture during the day, and this moisture needs to be replenished at the end of the day. The following facial mask is made from ripe avocado and honey. This mask is all-natural, easy and inexpensive to make. Avocado is rich in monounsaturated fat, which helps moisturize skin. Honey also helps tone and refresh the skin. This mask will leave your skin glowing and soft.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One ripe avocado
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Bowl
  • Fork
  • Warm water
  • Hand towel
  1. Step 1

Peel and pit a ripe avocado. Mash the avocado in a bowl with a fork until it's smooth.

  2. Step 2

Add 1 teaspoon honey. Make sure the honey is smooth and easy to stir. Stir the honey with the mashed avocado until it's well blended.

  3. Step 3

Turn on the faucet and run warm water over your hands. Bring your damp hands to your face, and lightly dampen your face with the water. Make sure your face is not saturated with the water.

  4. Step 4

Scoop out the avocado facial mixture with your hands. With circular motions, rub the avocado-honey mixture onto your face, forehead, chin and neck. Avoid delicate areas like the eyes and lips.

  5. Step 5

Make sure to use the entire mixture on your face. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes until it dries. Rinse your face with warm water, and lightly pat with a dry hand towel.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have any skin allergies, do a test patch to make sure you aren't allergic to avocado or honey on your face. You should only do a facial mask once a week. If you have really dry skin, it's recommended to use this mask twice a week. You can also replace the avocado with mashed bananas, or use a combination of both bananas and avocado for extra hydration.
