Make an Origami Panther Cub

You can use origami, the ancient art of paper folding, to make an adorable panther cub. Panthers are also known as pumas, mountain lions and cougars. In fact, the panther holds the world record for the animal with the highest number of names due to its wide distribution across North and South America. Panthers are slender, agile cats weighing from 115 to 160 pounds. Your origami panther cub, however, will fit in the palm of your hand.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Square sheet of paper
  1. Step 1

Fold the paper in half diagonally. Unfold.

  2. Step 2

On the line you have creased, fold the corners in a little.

  3. Step 3

Fold once again to create a triangle.

  4. Step 4

Fold the outer flaps to the middle.

  5. Step 5

Fold the left side back behind the right side.

  6. Step 6

Fold the top flap down, then push the point on flap down.

  7. Step 7

Fold the point on panther cub's head up.

  8. Step 8

Fold the top point on that flap to the middle to create a "mouth." Fold the bottom point of "mouth" back.

  9. Step 9

Pinch the back half of the panther cub in half to form the tail.
