How to Create a Danny Tanner Costume
Danny Tanner is often thought of as the dream dad. He was the single father of Michelle, Stephanie, and D.J. on the hit series "Full House." Adored by millions of children that are now adults, the show lives on in reruns and on DVD. Everyone will recognize you when you play Danny Tanner for Halloween or the perfect costume party.

1
Take a shower. This is very important. One must be freshly washed to play Danny Tanner. He is obsessive about cleanliness. Things must be in order, including himself. Shave and freshen up, making sure you even have your eyebrows brushed into place.
-
2
Style your short, brown hair very carefully. Get a wig if your hair cannot naturally form to Danny's style and cut. Brush the hair until it neatly sits in a simple cut.
-
-
3
Wear a button down shirt and button all the buttons in the shirt, sleeves and collar. You should look professional and ready for your day as co-host of "Wake Up, San Francisco."
-
4
Put on a pair of black slacks. The pants can lean towards the casual side, but they should be perfectly pressed and neat. Danny would cringe at anything less.
-
5
Wear a pair of casual black shoes. They shouldn't be sneakers, but they don't have to be super fancy work shoes.
-
6
Grab a mini vacuum or other cleaning device. A simple duster will do. Everybody knows that Danny is a neat freak, and this will be a fun added tool to your costume that will help ease others in instant recognition of your version of Danny Tanner.
-
7
Ask for kids for advice on how to best portray Danny. If you have daughters, chances are they've grown up on reruns of this show. Let them guide you in the right direction for the right way to act, and let them remind you of the things Danny says. Be sure to sit down with them and watch some reruns before setting out for a night in your costume.
