Step 1
Do lots of cardio. All types of aerobic exercise that work out your entire body and push up your heart rate are good, but those that focus on the lower body are especially useful. This includes cycling, step and hiking.
-
Step 2
Go for an intense workout if you're pressed for time. If you can only afford to exercise for 20 minutes a day, use a Stairmaster or head outside to hike or walk uphill. Climbing stairs can be equally effective. Focus on working out your thigh, backside and upper-leg muscles to improve tone, which in turn will help you burn fat and reduce the appearance of dimpled skin.
-
Step 3
Try resistance exercises that use your own body weight. Examples include squats and lunges. If you’re a beginner, push your back against the wall and squat by sliding down until your thighs are parallel to the floor. For a more advanced version, use a weighted bar or dumbbells on your shoulders to increase the resistance.
-
Step 4
Drink lots of water before, during and after your workout. Water helps flush out toxins, especially those that get released during exercise. If drinking lots of water seems too difficult, add a lemon or orange wedge to flavor the water and to help the citrus properties flush out toxins even better.

Step 5
Make sure you mix cardio with weight training. If you do only aerobic exercises, you run the risk of losing weight but being left with soft muscles as a result. Un-toned muscles will show cellulite more clearly.
