Microsoft's FrontPage 2000 is an easy-to-use web-editing program. Among its handy features is the ability to add symbols or special characters not found on your keyboard. You can also use FrontPage to copy symbols to other locations on your page. These capabilities will help give your page a professional appearance.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open FrontPage and choose the location on your web page where you want the symbol to appear. Click "Insert" on the menu bar and then choose "Symbol." The symbol dialog box will appear.

  2. Step 2

Choose the symbol or special character you want to appear on your web page. At the bottom of the dialog box, an enlarged version of that symbol will appear. If you want to copy the symbol to another location on your page, use your mouse to drag it to the desired spot.

  3. Step 3

Click "Insert." The symbol will be added to your web page. Close the symbol dialog box.

  4. Step 4

Open your web page and verify that the symbol is in place. If you wish to remove the symbol from the page, drag your mouse over the symbol to select it and press the Delete key.
