How to Vent a Roof With Soffit & Facia
Venting the roof and attic space helps keep utility costs to a minimal. Proper installation of these vents is crucial to experiencing the maximum benefit. Most soffits are made from plywood, so preparation is a snap. However, accuracy is necessary, as these vents are simple grates installed to the underside of the soffit. You will need a stepladder and heavy-duty extension cord. Also, to save time and effort, make a template of the pattern needed to cut the holes.

Always wear safety glasses. Use caution when securing the vent cover plates as overtightening can compromise the strength of the hold.
Do not use an extension cord that is not heavy enough to carry the correct amps to your electrical tool. This can cause the tool to burn out.
