Sometimes there may be a situation when you need to have your tan fade away quickly, or perhaps you just don't like the way your skin looks when it's tanned. Well, whether you have a real tan or a fake tan, there is a very easy way to get it to fade away faster and there is no pain involved.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shower or bath
  • Exfoliating sponge or clothe
  • Body scrub or body wash with alpha hydroxy acid
  • Body moisturizer with alpha hydroxy acid
  1. Step 1

Shower or bathe while using an exfoliating sponge or clothe combined with a body scrub or body wash containing alpha hydroxy acid.

  2. Step 2

Apply a body moisturizer that contains alpha hydroxy acid once you have finished bathing.

  3. Step 3

Repeat Step 1 and 2 daily but only use the body scrub every other day.

  4. Step 4

Make a mixture of 2 Tbsp. salt or sugar with 1 Tbsp. lemon juice after a couple days, if your tan is still hanging on. Use this mixture in the shower instead of the body scrub you were using before. The salt or sugar will act as a manual exfoliant while the lemon juice will naturally lighten the skin. Remember to apply the alpha hydroxy lotion after you are finished in the shower.

Tips & Warnings
  • An alternative to alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) is salicylic acid.
  • Test a small area of skin before applying an alpha hydroxy or salicylic acid product to make sure you are not allergic to the products.
