Click the “Email Subscription” link under the "Publicize" tab once you sign into your FeedBurner account. If you have more than one account, be sure to click on the “My Feeds” link and then click on the title for the blog feed you want to modify.

Decide which email service provider you would like to deliver your feed. As of this writing the choices are FeedBurner, FeedBlitz and SendMeRSS mail. Your choice will vary depending on the number of subscribers.

Activate the email subscription. Upon clicking the “Activate” button, FeedBurner provides HTML code for you to insert into your blog pages to give your readers the option to receive email notifications.

Configure the "Communication Preferences" under the "Email Subscriptions" tab to display the FeedBurner RSS return email address, the opt in message and confirmation email. Users must confirm the email subscription before receiving your feed. The Communication Preference is where you modify the text of the confirmation email. Using your own words enables your readers to get a better feel for what to expect from your feed. Save your configurations to activate them.

Modify the appearance of your email by configuring the "Email Branding" section under the "Email Subscriptions" tab. Change the font type, size and color. You can also change the headers and body text appearance. Be sure to save your modifications.
