Knit a Zig-Zag Column Pattern
Knit a Zig-Zag Column Pattern

This zig-zag column pattern is a twist on the basic ribbed pattern that adds an interesting texture which, using the right yarn, can really pop out and catch the eye of passers-by. Just as its name indicates, it creates a column with a zig-zag pattern up the center, bordered by a purl 2, knit 1, purl 2 rib which leaves a little extra stretch-room to the final product. It's a great addition to an scarf, blanket, dishcloth or even a pair of socks if you're feeling brave.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

  8. Step 8

Bind off, preferably using the basic bind-off.
