Obtain tickets in advance as part of a package or purchase them at the door. You can receive museum and planetarium admission as part of your Chicago City Pass or with the Go Chicago Card.

Park in the lot by the Adler or by Soldier Field. Both are the same price. You can also take the trolley to and from the planetarium and visit other attractions.

3
Visit one of the special events at the museum including "Far out Fridays" and get in for one low price all evening. There are also movies and concerts held in the Planetarium for public enjoyment. These include Sky Theater and Definiti Theater which can make you feel like you have been launched into outer space. A complete schedule with hours and fees is listed on their website.
-

Use the operating controls in the armrest of your seat to control your journey while you watch the show. Shows vary in the day and evening. Use the free audio tour to guide you through the rest of your visit. This is your tour guide.

5
Explore the many interactive exhibits in the museum portion of the Chicago Planetarium. Take photos of the exhibits, but cameras and recording equipment are not allowed inside the Planetarium.
-
6
Take a stroll along the Chicago lake shore, or explore the view before or after your visit to the planetarium. The Chicago Planetarium can be visited in conjunction with other nearby attractions and you can stay parked where you are while you visit them.

7
Book accommodations online or in person if you are staying overnight. It may be good to do this as part of a package. It would be best to stay outside of downtown Chicago to save money. Or, if you will be in downtown Chicago, stay parked at the hotel and use the shuttle to go to the Planetarium. Just be sure to be back when your parking expires. Check with the hotel to verify your authorized parking hours.
