Things You'll Need:
- Origami paper
- Printer paper
- Card stock
- Magazine pages
- Scissors
- Clear tape
- Hole punch
- Ribbon or thread
- Glitter
- Glue
-
Step 1
Adjust your paper into a square. Printer and notebook paper will need to be cut down into a same-sided square. You can do this by folding diagonally into a triangle and cutting off the excess paper. Origami paper will already be pre-cut.
-
Step 2
Fold the left point in and down so that the top left square side lines up parallel to the center crease. Do this with the right point as well. You will have what looks like an upside down kite. Turn the paper over.
-
Step 3
Fold the bottom two points up and in so that the bottom left and right square sides line up parallel to the center crease. Turn the paper over once more.
-
Step 4
Fold the bottom point up, like a newspaper, to meet the top point. You will now have a two-layered triangle.
-
Step 5
Fold the top point, first layer only, three quarters of the way down, so that the bottom tail goes slightly past the bottom of the triangle.
-
Step 6
Fold the bottom tip up in half, so that it lines up with the bottom fold. This fold will create your tree stem.
-
Step 7
Crease all of your edges down as flat as possible and turn your paper over to reveal your traditional pine tree.
