Things You'll Need:
- FOR CRUST:
- 14 Oreo cookies or similar chocolate cream filled cookies
- 2 T butter, melted and cooled
- FOR PIE:
- 24 large marshmallows
- 1/2 c whole milk, cold
- 1/8 t salt
- 1/3 c Kahlua or other coffee flavored liqueur
- 1 c whipping cream
- FOR GARNISH:
- Chopped chocolate bar, for garnish
-
Step 1
First make the crust: Take the cookies process in a food processor to make crumbs. Stir the crumbs and butter together and press into the bottom of a pie plate, 9 inch size. Place in the freezer until the filling is made.
-
Step 2
In a double boiler, melt marshmallows, milk and salt together. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool room temperature, or until you can make mounds from a spoon.
-
Step 3
Whip the whipping cream until firm peaks form.
-
Step 4
Stir the Kahlua into the marshmallow mixture, and fold in the whipped cream. Place the bowl in the refrigerator to firm up, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
Step 5
Transfer the mixture into the frozen pie shell, and place back into the freezer until firm. Garnish the top with some of the chopped chocolate bar. Serve chilled.
