Things You'll Need

  • 5-inch square of tissue paper
  • Bamboo stick or lollipop stick
  • Floral tape
  • Wired floral leaf (purchased in the floral department of any major craft store)
  • Two Hershey’s kisses
  • Taking two Hershey’s Kisses, hold them flat side to flat side in one hand. Using your other hand, wrap the Hershey’s Kisses tightly in tissue paper. You will want to center the tissue paper over the tip of one Hershey’s Kiss and fold it in half, one corner to the opposing corner diagonally. This will leave you with a triangle shape.

  • Fold the other two corners of the tissue paper around the candy. All four corners should now be facing downward in the same direction. Place one end of the bamboo stick in the center of the tissue paper folds so that it touches the tip of the bottom Hershey’s Kiss. Wrap the tissue paper tightly around the bamboo stick, wrapping in one direction in a twisting motion.

  • Secure tissue paper to the bamboo stick with a piece of floral tape wrapped tightly across the tissue paper. Start the floral tape on the bamboo stick and continue wrapping it around the bamboo stick in an upward direction until you reach the middle of the Hershey’s Kiss on the bottom. This will give you the look of a floral stem on your candy flower.

  • Place a wired leaf against the “bud” created by the Hershey’s Kisses and tissues paper with the wire running down the length of the bamboo stick. Wrap the wire around the bamboo stick in a downward motion. Secure the wire leaf to the stick using floral tape.

  • Wrap the entire bamboo stick in floral tape starting at the base of the Hershey’s Kisses and continuing all the way down the stick. This will give you a green “stem.” Repeat this process several times to create a grand bouquet for your next event.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are making several flowers and want to conserve your finances, use clear scotch tape to secure the tissue paper to the bamboo stick. This will be hidden later with floral tape.
