Using cocoa powder and chocolate chips, this cheesecake is a chocolate lover's dream.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 1 1/2 c graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 c sugar
  • 1/3 c butter, melted
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 2 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1/2 c cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c chocolate chips
  • FOR THE TOPPING:
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 2 Tblsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Garnish:
  • Sweetened whipped cream
  • Chopped chocolate
  1. Step 1

    For the crust: Combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter together. Press onto the bottom and about halfway up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan. Set aside.

  2. Step 2

    For the cheesecake: Cream the cheese, sugar, cocoa and vanilla together. Add in eggs one at a time and mix well. Pour this over the prepared crust.

  3. Step 3

    Bake in a 375 degree oven for about 25 minutes. Remove from oven and prepare topping. Increase oven temperature to 425 degrees.

  4. Step 4

    For the topping: Mix the sour cream, sugar and vanilla together. Spread over the top of the cheesecake and return to oven. Bake for about 10 minutes, until done.

  5. Step 5

    Remove from oven and cool. Serve with whipped cream and garnish with chopped chocolate.
