Things You'll Need:
- Large pots for the hibiscus
- Several hibiscus plants
- Potting soil
-
Step 1
Find several large pots and get some potting soil to prepare to add hibiscus trees to a pool area. You can often find inexpensive hibiscus trees at the flea market.
-
Step 2
Decide whether you want all of the hibiscus plants to be the same color or if you will use a rainbow of different colored plants. Then purchase the trees and decide which pot is best for each individual hibiscus tree.
-
Step 3
Add soil to the pot and then plant the hibiscus tree. Water well and press down the soil around the base of the tree. Then water again allowing the plant to settle into the potting soil.
-
Step 4
Arrange the hibiscus trees around the pool in a line or place them randomly. The brightly colored trees add an air of the exotic and whimsy to any pool setting.
-
Step 5
Ensure the plants have good sunlight to promote flowering and water the plants regularly. Trees in pots dry out quickly so keep a close eye on the moisture level of the soil.

on 9/22/2009 This is the look I have been wanting to do in my back yard. Yes right by the pool. I don't see myself going on vocation any time soon. So I will bring the new look to my back yard. Act like I am on vocation. The yard will look different. 5**** Great article!
