How to Increase Eyelash Growth

Long and luscious lashes are incredibly attractive and can really enhance your eyes. Increasing the length of your eyelashes naturally can be a lot easier than you think and you probably already have what you need in your medicine cabinet already.

• Petroleum jelly, such as Vaseline

1. Make sure your eye area is clean and dry. Use this eyelash treatment at bedtime so it will not interfere with your makeup during the day.

2. Apply a small dab of petroleum jelly to your fingertips. You don't need a lot of the stuff, just a small dab on your pointer finger. Make sure to rub your finger together with your thumb before applying, to spread the petroleum jelly out so it won't glob onto your lashes.

3. Close one eye and gently apply the jelly from root to tip of your eyelashes. Don't pull your lashes, since this wil cause them to fall out.

4. Repeat the process to your other eye and wear the jelly overnight while you sleep. Some people have seen results by the next morning, but it could take up to two weeks or longer for good results.

5. Once you wake in the moring, you will need to wash off the petroleum jelly before applying any eye makeup. Since petroleum jelly and mascara don't mix well, you will need to remove the jelly with a face wash or eye makeup remover.

6. Continue to apply the petroleum jelly nightly at bedtime until you aquire the lashe length you want. You can also continue to use the jelly daily afterwards since it will condition your lashes, leaving them healthy and strong.
