How to Acquire the Halfling Warrior Mazzy in Baldur's Gate 2
A noble halfling warrior who upholds the virtues of law and good, Mazzy is not the typical halfing one would expect to come across in Baldur's Gate 2. As good with a sword as she is with a bow, Mazzy is a great front-line fighter to have around.

Play through the beginning of the game until the party escapes the wizard Irenicus' dungeon into the city of Athkatla.

Travel to the Government District and speak with the man named Delon who is standing around outside the council building. He will mention an area called "Umar Hills" and mark its location on your map.

Leave Athkatla and travel to the Umar Hills. Search the Umar Hills until your party finds the ruins of a temple.

Enter the temple and fight your way through the monsters there until you find a series of locked jail cells. A creature outside the cells will have the key, which you can get by killing him.

Unlock the cells to find the halfling fighter Mazzy. She will offer to join your group and help clear the area of monsters in exchange for freeing her. Choose to accept her offer and she will become a playable character.

Tips & Warnings
If you remove Mazzy from the party, she can be found again in the city of Trademeet, where she will agree to join the party if you speak with her.
If you keep Mazzy in your party long enough, a messenger will approach the party to tell Mazzy she needs to go to Trademeet to save her sister's life. If you don't go to Trademeet quickly afterwards, Mazzy will leave the party.
