Step 1
Plan in advance. Check the schedule and pick out a game you can attend. Make any travel arrangements you need to get to Boston. However, getting tickets is time-consuming and you will spend almost 11 hours at the ballpark (did I mention you must be a serious fan?), so plan to devote an entire day to Fenway. Another tip: don't choose a popular game such as Yankees games or Opening Day, because people typically line up quickly for these games, and fewer tickets are available.

Step 2
On game day, get to Fenway Park five hours prior to game time. Fenway is accessible easily on the T (Boston's metro) or just by walking. Fans are permitted to line up no earlier than five hours before the start of the game, at Gate E on Lansdowne Street to purchase game day tickets.
-
Step 3
Stand in line. Make sure to bring friends or family as placeholders if you need to run to the bathroom or get food. However, Fenway hands out numbered tickets about four hours before the start of the game. The tickets ensure no one in line cuts and everyone stays in place. Do not lose this ticket because this will ensure your place in line and you need them once you get to the ticket counter.
-
Step 4
Two hours before the start of the game tickets sales will begin at Gate E. Once you get to the gate the ticket agent will tell you what seats are available based on the size of your party. Tickets available can range from field box to standing room only. You can pay by credit card or cash.

Step 5
Enter the ballpark. Once your tickets are purchased ticket holders are required to enter into the ballpark immediately, which will be two hours prior to the game. This is a security measure to decrease the chance of scalping. Now you have two hours to grab a Fenway Frank, try to get some autographs and enjoy the game.
