1
Select the color scheme and style you want for your topiary. Do you want to use fresh flowers, or dried or silk ones? What colors do you want to use? Consider the color of ribbon and the pot you use as well. You may wish to spray paint the pot a different color to match the style of your topiary.
-
2
Purchase your materials. The materials should be easy to find at any craft store.
-
-
3
Cut your dowel to size. Make sure that it is in proportion to your foam ball and won't be too tall or too short.
-
4
Spray paint your clay pot and dowel.

5
Insert your flowers into the foam ball. If the flowers have long stems, cut the stems down first. If they do not have stems, use your hot glue gun to apply glue to the backs of the flowers, then press them onto the ball.

6
Place floral foam into the pot, cutting it down to size if necessary.
-
7
Insert a dowel into the floral foam.
-
8
Stick the floral ball into the dowel and arrange as necessary.
-
9
Tie ribbon around the stem of your topiary and tie it with a bow.
-
10
Place your new topiary on the table and enjoy!
