How to Make Hair Color Fade
Usually people's main complaint is that their hair color doesn't last long enough in the first place. But, you may not like the color you choose. The color may not look like it did on the box. The color may not look good with your skin tone and color. The hair color was not put on correctly and streaked. Or, maybe the hair color only took to part of your hair. Things You'll Need
- Water
- Prell shampoo
- Dawn dish detergent
- Regular shampoo
- Regular conditioner
- Baking soda
- Hair color removal kit

Wash your hair, repeatedly. The more you wash it the quicker you will remove all of that hair coloring. Begin by using your regular shampoo. When you are finished shampooing for the day, you should condition your hair. Your hair is getting a work out with all these chemicals and the condition may protect it from becoming dry and damaged.

Apply some Prell shampoo onto your dry hair. Cover your hair to the roots completely in the shampoo. Then wrap your hair up into a towel. Allow the shampoo to sit in your hair up to 30 minutes. Rinse it out with water.

Wet your hair with warm water. Add a couple of drops of Dawn dish washing detergent to your regular shampoo. Then apply the shampoo and the detergent throughout your hair, building up a good lather. Let it set for 5 minutes. Rinse it out with warm water. Apply a good conditioner to your hair. Allow to set as needed. Rinse the conditioner out completely.

Mix some baking soda into your shampoo. Begin washing your hair in the mixture. Allow the hair to become foamy. Then let it set for 10 minutes. Rinse it out. Repeat it in a day or so, if necessary.

Purchase a hair color removal kit from your local drug store. These kits are available through a variety of companies. Read and follow the instructions that comes with the kit carefully.

Tips & Warnings
If you have no Prell shampoo handy, some people have had luck with normal dandruff shampoo as well.
To ensure that you do not further damage your hair, make sure you apply a deep conditioner to your hair. Using a lot of chemicals on it and washing it a lot can cause havoc to your hair, causing damage and extra drying.
If all at home methods fail, you can make an appointment with a hair stylist to have the hair completely stripped of its hair color.
Many people will tell you to try applying hot oil treatments for hair onto your hair to help with the fading process. Yet, some people will develop an oily condition to their hair, especially if they all ready have combination hair to begin.
Never apply bleach to your hair. This can damage your hair and burn your skin.
