How to Acquire the Cleric Anomen in Baldur's Gate 2
A versatile character who is equally suited to playing the role of front-line fighter or party healer, Anomen is a cleric devoted to the concept of law who can be convinced to join your party in Baldur’s Gate 2. Although he is dedicated to good, his overarching fear of failure can lead him to cause serious problems for the party if he does not achieve great deeds and live up to his namesake.

At the beginning of the game, break out of the underground prison in which the evil wizard Irenicus has the party trapped and make your way into the Amnish city of Athkatla.

Take the party to the Slums District in Athkatla.

Find the tavern called the “Copper Coronet” in the Slums and take the party inside.

Approach Anomen with any of the party members and speak with him. He will ask to accompany your party.

Choose the dialogue option to accept his offer, and Anomen will join the group as a playable character.

Tips & Warnings
Several in-game days after Anomen joins the party, a messenger will approach the group and start a new quest involving Anomen’s family. Always choose the least violent and most honorable actions during this quest, or Anomen will not be able to upgrade his statistics later.
After completing the quest involving Anomen’s family, go to the Temple District and speak with the Knights of the Radiant Heart, who will give Anomen a new quest. If you complete this quest properly, Anomen will become a full-fledged knight and his statistics will be upgraded.
If you fail the quest given to Anomen by the Knights of the Radiant Heart, he will become dejected and angry, and will even randomly attack party members if they anger him during conversations.
