Instructions

    • 1

Go to the wedding site to view the arches (unless you are using a kit that you must put together). Measure the sides and across the top of the archway. You need the length and width of the three portions. Write down these measurements and sketch your design idea.

    • 2

Assemble or purchase garland of flowers in three pieces to match the length of the three arch portions. If you want to use nylon netting, purchase the length measurements plus 10 to 15 extra yards of the white cloth.

    • 3

Wire cedar or desired greens directly to the arches with the florist spool wire on the day of the ceremony. Have someone assist you by holding the garlands of fresh or silk flowers and passing them to you after you are on a ladder or step stool. Wire the garlands securely into place.

    • 4

Wrap the nylon netting loosely around and around the arch area, draping and layering for a romantic look. Let the ends flow to the ground.

    • 5

Step back and look at the entire archway from several angles. Place extra flowers and ribbon bows where any gaps show up. You can add faux white wedding doves and butterflies to the decoration. If there is electricity available, wrap strings of white lights in the netting portion.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not use light strings that feel hot to the touch.
