  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. sugar

      Drink water. The best way to determine the amount of water your body needs is to take your body weight and divide that number by two. Drink that many oz. of water per day. If you have a hard time drinking your daily recommended quantity because tap water tastes too plain, squeeze a bit of lemon or lime juice into it. Soaking some mint leaves in a pitcher of water overnight will also make it taste more appealing.

      Remove old skin cells by creating your own facial mask. Combine the following in a small bowl in the order listed: 2 tbsp. honey, 1 tsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. jojoba oil and two drops lavender essential oil. Apply to your face in the evening, allowing it to remain for five to 10 minutes. Rub gently to remove excess skin cells. Rinse and pat dry.

      Moisturize every evening to give skin a chance to rejuvenate from the stress of the day. To make a nice moisturizer ahead of time that will be good for up to two months, you will need: ¼ cup avocado carrier oil, ½ oz. beeswax, two drops sandalwood, five drops lavender, two drops chamomile and one clean glass jar. Create your moisturizer by melting the carrier oil and the beeswax in a bowl placed in simmering water. Once the mixture has melted, remove it from the water and allow it to cool until it begins to thicken. Add the essential oils in the order and amounts listed above. Mix the oils into the carrier mixture then it pour into the glass jar. Allow it to cool and set fully before using.

      Tone your skin using your own homemade rosewater or lavender toner. To do this you will need fresh rose petals or lavender flowers. Place the petals of your chosen flower in a bowl and pour boiling water on them. Cover the bowl with a linen cloth and allow to soak for two days. Pour into a bottle and refrigerate. Use a cotton ball to apply your toner to your face.
