Step 1
A NUGGET is a component of your presentation that captures your audience's attention. You want to begin your presentation with a nugget, insert a short nugget into the middle of your presentation if it is longer than 15 minutes, and end your presentation with a nugget.
-
Step 2
One example of a nugget is a mental activity or exercise. This allows the audience to participate, speak, and possibly move around. Something where you ask the audience a general question or to define a term and someone raises their hand, or stands up, and answers.
-
Step 3
Another example of a nugget is a short video clip. It can be a commercial from a customer or supplier that you are presenting on or it can be as simple as the opening scene of a movie. This will get your audience interested in what you have to say next and how you will connect the video to the rest of your presentation.
-
Step 4
A third example of a nugget is physical activity. This allows your audience to get up, move around, and get the blood flowing in their bodies. It can as simple as doing 5 jumping-jacks. Whatever physical exercise applies to your presentation, do it.
-
Step 5
Be creative with your nuggets and always remember to relate them back to the content of your presentation. Thanks for reading.
