Soroptimist offers programs that improve the lives of women and girls like the Women's Opportunity Awards, the Soroptimist Workplace Campaign to End Domestic Violence, the Violet Richardson Award, the Soroptimist Club Grants for Women and Girls, the Making a Difference for Women Award and Venture Clubs. To qualify for club membership you be will asked where you work or retired from to find potential members whose attitude, enthusiasm, ideas, and skill sets would add to the club. There are also fees associated with membership depending on which membership you choose. You will find these different forms of membership:
Regular Member. Those working in a profession or business or in an occupation of comparable status or responsibilities.
Retired/Unemployed Member. Those recently retired from, or temporarily or permanently out of work from, a profession or business or an occupation of comparable status or responsibilities to those of a person working in a profession or business.
Embarking Member. Those who are embarking on a career in a profession or business or occupation of comparable status or responsibilities to those of a person working in a profession or business.
Life Member. Those members who achieved life member status by July 2001 and who wish to retain that status.
Associate Member. This type of membership may be granted by the federation to an eligible prospective member who wishes to join Soroptimist and there is no club in her community, or to any current member of a disbanding club.
