If you have an outdoor (or sometimes indoor) pet, you may have a problem with ants getting into their food bowl. This is a quick and easy solution and it works!!!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pet's food bowl
  • A slightly larger container (like a shallow baking pan)
  • Water
  1. Step 1

Determine where you are going to place your pets food dish or bowl.

  2. Step 2

Fill your pets food bowl, or dish with food.

  3. Step 3

Place your pets food bowl or dish in a slightly larger container (I use a Pyrex casserole pan). Fill the larger dish with about 1 inch of water forming a "moat" (the original food bowl should not float, but set in the middle). The ants will not cross the water to get to the food!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure the container you use to put the water in is not too big, so that you're pet will still be able to reach their food.
