The National Sex Offenders Registry provides vital information to protect your family from sex offenders. It provides the names, addresses, and photos of registered offenders. You can find sex offenders living near you or your child's school. You can also sign up to receive free email or text alerts when an offender moves into your neighborhood. Don't delay, learn where the offenders are in your area and how to protect your family.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Visit the National Sex Offenders Registry at www.familywatchdog.us

  2. Step 2

    Enter your location (street, city, state, and zip code).

  3. Step 3

    Click "Search".

  4. Step 4

    In map form: use the legend to determine the nature of the crime committed by offenders near you.

  5. Step 5

    Click the "List" tab to see a clickable list of the sex offenders near you including (name, address, and distance from your location).

  6. Step 6

    By clicking the name of an offender, you can see details (photo, alias, convictions, description and a map).

  7. Step 7

    You can print out offenders profiles for your use.

on 8/28/2008 Years ago, I was employed as a Correction Officer. Based on my experience, I can tell anyone reading this article that they should definitely do this themselves! The VAST majority of sex offenders with whom I worked were repeat offenders. Follow the instructions above ASAP, especially if you have children or are female and live alone. Great info!
