Instructions

For Dry Hair
-
1
Deep moisturize extremely dry hair by combing olive or other vegetable oil through your hair. Put on a clear shower cap and let it sit for one hour. Shampoo with a gentle, non-drying shampoo.
-
2
With a wide tooth comb, saturate your hair with mayonnaise. Leave it alone for one hour. Then shampoo and rinse.
-
-
3
Repeat either of these treatments as needed.
For Thin Hair
-
4
Mix together 2 egg yolks and 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Add this mixture to your normal shampoo. To avoid any lightening of hair, stay out of the sun until your hair dries.
-
5
Repeat this procedure weekly for luxurious hair.
-
6
Cut your hair as short as possible. While this is a radical change, as the hair grows back and is kept in good condition, the hair will be naturally thicker.
For Dull, Lifeless Hair
-
7
Shampoo your hair normally. Rinse it with a mixture of 1 cup apple cider vinegar and 2 cups of water. This works well on permed or color treated hair.
-
8
Use this recipe weekly for hair that has shine and strength.
-
9
Style hair as normal, but avoid using blow driers or hot rollers.
For Oily Hair
-
10
Grind 1 cup of oatmeal to a fine powder in a blender or food processor. Sprinkle the powder over your scalp and comb through your hair. Brush out completely. This can also be used as a dry shampoo where no water is available.
-
11
Use witch hazel, found at pharmacies, to rinse your hair. The ingredients in witch hazel will naturally strip the oils from your hair.
-
12
Avoid shampoos and conditioners that use any type of oils, either natural or synthetic, in their ingredients.
For Dandruff
-
13
Combine beet juice with 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Use this mixture as a final rinse for dark hair.
-
14
Mix 3 tablespoons of lemon juice with 2 cups water and use as a final rinse for lighter hair.
-
15
Use the oatmeal recipe above for a quick dandruff remover when washing your hair is not possible.
