Instructions

    • 1

Apply an ice pack to the area as soon as a bruise occurs and leave it on for 30 minutes. Apply it at regular intervals throughout the first 24 hours.

    • 2

Put aloe vera on the bruised area.

    • 3

Rub the bruised area in a circular manner with an old toothbrush. Although this method may be painful, it will restore the circulation to the bruise and help diminish its appearance.

    • 4

Soak the leaves of a cabbage head in hot water, and apply it to the affected area for at least 15 minutes. Make sure it is not too hot before applying it to your skin.

    • 5

Boil thyme in a pot of water for 10 minutes. Let it sit for several minutes to cool, then drain the water into a separate pot. Throw the thyme leaves away, and add the boiled thyme water to a bathtub and soak your bruises in the mixture for 30 minutes.

    • 6

Apply Amica gel to a bruise with a cotton ball.

    • 7

Pour apple cider vinegar on a washcloth, and keep the compress tight against the bruised area for at least 10 minutes at a time.

    • 8

Apply concealer and a good-quality foundation to the area.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try several different methods until you find the one that works best for removing your bruises.

  • Treat a bruise as soon as you notice it for best results.

  • When dealing with hot water, make sure the temperature is low enough to be applied to your skin.
