Perhaps you prefer to buy those kits that allow you to fill your old ink jet ink cartridges rather than purchasing new ink cartridges every time that your printer runs out of ink, which is probably quite often. But how can you buy empty Epson ink jet printer cartridges so that you can always have a back up?

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Know that eBay is your only source for empty ink jet cartridges. Click on the link in Resources to access eBay's site.

  2. Step 2

Type "empty Epson ink jet cartridges" into the search box on the homepage of eBay. If you are looking for a specific model of Epson ink jet catridge then you can type the model number into the search box along with the phrase in quotations above.

  3. Step 3

Narrow your search results by choosing the appropriate eBay category that you wish to search in from the drop down menu next to the search box if your search results are too broad.

  4. Step 4

Sift through your search results looking for the kind of Epson ink jet printer cartridges that you are looking for, and make sure that you are paying attention to price and shipping while you do this. If you find one that sounds reasonably priced to you then you can either place a bid, or contact the seller to see if they would be willing to just sell you the item before the auction is complete for a certain price. If the item is a "Buy Now" item then you can purchase the item right away, without having to wait for the auction to be complete simply by paying the desired price for the item.

  5. Step 5

Pay attention to seller ratings before completing any transaction. You want to buy from a seller that has a good rating, usually above 80 percent, that has been selling on eBay for a while to ensure that you receive your item.

  6. Step 6

Follow the steps provided for you to complete your transaction. You want to make sure that you pay for your item in a timely manner after finding out that you have won an auction or after deciding to purchase a "Buy Now" item so that your item will be shipped promptly since sellers usually wait to ship items until they have been paid for.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you pay for an item and then never receive that item you can file a complaint with eBay and with PayPal, if that is the payment method that you used, in an effort to get your money back. You can usually get a full refund.
