How to Creatively Ask Someone to Homecoming

Homecoming is a time of celebration. Even if the team doesn't win, nearly everybody is focused on the excitement of the dance, which is about having fun and being carefree. Keep that in mind when asking someone to homecoming. There's no reason to make a big deal about it, and it's easier to say yes when there isn't overwhelming expectation from the date.

1. Take the easy path. Initiate a conversation with someone that you want to ask. Talk about something casual like homework or a math test and lead the conversation to the homecoming dance.

3. Start talking about how you love to dance. Ask your hopeful date if he can dance. Turn it into a challenge--ask him to show you at the homecoming. Ask him to go with you to prove his moves.

4. Be direct. Tell him he's cute. Ask him to homecoming after a true compliment. Who knows, you may start a romance simply based on that kind of courage.

5. Be creative and use your talents. If you're a cheerleader, do a silly cheer. He will likely laugh and be flattered. If you play music, write him a song. Perform it and ask him to go to the dance.
