A 4-seam Fastball is the easiest pitch to throw and one of the only pitches that doesn't break. It should be the first pitch you learn to throw and this should be the only way to throw the ball when your not the pitcher.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Baseball
  • A Place to Pitch to
  1. Step 1

    Get a baseball.

  2. Step 2

    Put your index and middle finger across one of the seams like shown in the picture.

  3. Step 3

    Put your thumb across the seam oppisite to the one with your other two fingers.

  4. Step 4

    Rest your ring finger and your pinky finger ALMOST under the ball.

  5. Step 5

    Release the ball with your hand behind the ball. Make sure the ball comes off your thumb, then your fingers so you get backspin on the ball. Follow through your throw.
