How to Tie a Ribbon on a Tiffany's Box

Cut a length of ribbon long enough to go two and one half times around the box. Hold the box with side end up and wrap the ribbon across the top of the box, allowing a box length of ribbon to hang. Firmly hold the ribbon with your thumb, in the center of what is the top of the box.

Go once around the box with the ribbon, then place the second piece of ribbon under your thumb. Fold the ribbon to the left, over your thumb and bring it around the box at a forty-five degree angle. Keep going around until the center is reached.

Tuck this end under ribbon from where you were holding with your thumb. Make a U-shaped hook by pulling firmly on the ribbon.

Center and tighten the ribbon for placement of the bow. Make a loop with the uppermost piece of ribbon to your right. Wrap the other piece and push through to make a bow, just as you would when tying a shoe lace.

Tighten and trim the edges of the ribbon at an angle for a finished look.
