Things You'll Need:
- Square of origami paper
-
Step 1
Take your single square of orgiami paper and fold it in half, so that the fold makes two equal rectangles.
-
Step 2
Press the crease of the fold down several times, and then tear along the crease in the center of the paper square. You should now have two single rectangles of the same size. You can put one off to the side, as you will only need a single rectangle to make your snake.
-
Step 3
Place your rectangle lengthwise on a flat hard surface, and begin to roll the paper downward. Start in the upper right hand corner and work your way down, so that you are rolling diagonally.
-
Step 4
Stop rolling a little more than halfway across he rectangle, and start to roll the lower left hand corner up just a little bit. You want to roll it up only a time or two, because it will eliminate the need for glue to keep your snake from unrolling.
-
Step 5
Continue rolling the rectangle from the upper right hand corner all the way to the bottom, and then fold the lower left hand corner that you rolled up, over the body of the snake body. You should now have a small rolled rectangle tube that will form the body of your snake.
-
Step 6
Start to shape your snake, by bending the rolled rectangle tube in various directions until it resembles the shape of a snake. You can even pull part of the rolled tube upwards so that your snake looks like it is rearing upwards.
-
Step 7
Pinch the ends of the rectangular tube flat to form the snakes head and tip of the tail.
