Instructions

    • 1

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease and flour a 13-by-9 inch cake pan.

    • 2

Melt the candy bars and the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the candy has melted. Let the mixture cool for five minutes.

    • 3

Blend the cake mix, water, oil and eggs in a large bowl using an electric mixer. Beat the cake mixture for two minutes on low.

    • 4

Stir 2/3 cup of the cake mix and the flour into the cooled candy mixture. Mix until it is fully blended.

    • 5

Pour the remaining cake batter into the prepared cake pan. Put the chocolate candy mixture on top of the cake batter. Using a knife, swirl the candy mixture into the cake batter making a swirled pattern in the cake. Bake the cake for 28 to 32 minutes. Let the cake cool before frosting.

Tips & Warnings

  • When making a candy cake, experiment by adding different types of candy. Chocolate chips, M&Ms, peppermint candy, and other types, are also great tasting in a cake.

  • Don't overbake your cake. Use a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake to make sure it is done. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is ready.
