Things You'll Need:
- 1 yard ribbon (between 3/8 to 1 inch in width)
- Thread
- Threading needle
- Glitter glue pens (like Elmers 3D)
-
Step 1
Prepare your supplies. Cut your ribbon into five 1-inch long sections and thread your needle with thread that matches the ribbon you are using. Set the needle aside.
-
Step 2
Make your petals. Taking the first of these 5 ribbon pieces, fold the top half at a right angle to the right, so that it overlaps itself in the middle and then fold that same piece back over itself to the left to form a triangle tip. One side will form a smooth edge and one side will form an envelope.
-
Step 3
Secure your ribbon petal. Weave the edge of your folded ribbon petal onto the threading needle and set aside.
-
Step 4
Create the remaining petals. Follow Step 2 to create the remaining four petals and weave them on to the needle as in Step 3, until you have a straight line of five petals.
-
Step 5
Make your flower. Knot the thread to the left of the first petal and push the petals tightly together against this knot. Connect the first and fifth petals together by making a single stitch through them and arrange the petals as necessary.
-
Step 6
Add a large bead of glitter glue to the center and set aside to dry. Add to your crafts and accessories!
