Instructions

    • 1

Shampoo your hair, and rinse it with 1 cup of lemon juice. Work the lemon juice completely through your hair.

    • 2

Sit in the sunshine for 15 to 30 minutes or until your hair is dry.

    • 3

Use a comb to saturate only the desired areas with lemon juice if you want highlights instead of all-over color. Expose your hair to sunlight until it's dry.

    • 4

Mix 1/4 cup of peroxide with water. Rinse your hair with the mixture and let it dry. Determine if the mix has stripped the natural hair color light enough. If not, increase the amount of peroxide with water to 1/2 cup and repeat the procedure.

    • 5

Boil several cups of water and pour it over 1/2 cup of chamomile flowers. Allow the mixture to cool and then use it as a rinse.

Tips & Warnings

  • Conduct a test on a sample first to make sure the method you have chosen will work with your hair. Cut a small shock of hair and immerse it in the mixture for 10 minutes. Remove and let dry to see the results.

  • Never use household bleach in an attempt to lighten your hair color. Household bleach can cause serious damage to both your hair and your scalp.
